Why is this important?

The server your website is on is affected greatly by the number and nature of the websites it hosts as well as the specification of the hardware itself.

I only use a high spec server dedicated to my clients websites and not shared with 1,000’s of other “unknowns”. It is also located in a 24/7 manned secure Data Centre in Stevenage, Herts with a 1GB fibre optic internet connection and a 100mb local network.

The server is a DELL POWER EDGE (2010) with Intel 2.0ghz Dual Quad Core Xeon’s (8 processors) with 8GB Ram and 500GB Raid 1 Hard Drives, the latest industry standard Linux CentOS operating system, cPanel, PHP 5 and MySQL 5.
